New Delhi: Hardik Pandya, the star all-rounder of the
Indian cricket team, is renowned for his flamboyant style both on and off the
field. Recently, as he celebrated his 30th birthday on October 11, the
cricketer was showered with congratulations from all corners. However, the
birthday festivities took an extraordinary turn as Hardik, amidst a crowd of
over 40,000 spectators, cut a cake before the match against Afghanistan.
The special occasion took place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium
in Delhi, where Team India was set to clash with Afghanistan in their second
match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Accompanying Hardik in this memorable
moment was former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir.

World Cup 2023 marked the second encounter for Team India in the tournament.
The intense competition unfolded at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, with

Reflecting on his birthday celebrations, Hardik Pandya
stated, "Everyone in the team knew it was my birthday, and I received many
good wishes before sleeping last night and in the morning. We had bowled well
against Australia. When we lost three wickets, we were under pressure, but the
way Virat and KL handled it, credit goes to them."
Afghanistan's Toss Victory
In their match against India, Afghanistan won the toss and
opted to bat first. Afghanistan had previously played their opening match
against Bangladesh at Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh, which they unfortunately
lost. In the upcoming game, Afghanistan aimed to challenge the formidable Team
India and secure a victory.

displayed a dominant performance, defeating Australia convincingly. Although
the opening batsmen had a disappointing outing, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul's
